EXPERIENCE
Holds an adjunct academic appointment with the College of Notre Dame and teaches courses in Human Factors Engineering. He also provides human factors consultation to a number of industrial and legal corporations. Prior to retirement at Lockheed, he was Manager of System Effectiveness and directed the activities of 110 professionals in the areas of human factors engineering, crew systems, systems safety engineering, maintainability engineering, integrated logistics support, technical training, instructional system development, publications engineering, and organizational effectiveness.

TEACHING
Active in the academic field. During the past 30 years and has taught at the University of
Southern California, University of Denver, San Jose State University, Santa Clara University,
College of Notre Dame, Foothill College and Waseda University (Tokyo).

CONSULTING
Has provided consultation to the following organizations: Arvin-Calspan, ATAC, Babcock and
Wilcox, CMF, Compa Industries Inc., Electric Power Industry Consultants Inc., EPRI, Forensic
Technologies International, General Electric, Imperial Oil of Canada, NASA, Pal Consultants Inc.,
Science Applications Inc., Tektronix, TCI International Inc., University of Tennessee, US Air Force,
US Navy, US Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Woodward Governors, and Xerox. Forensic human
factors activities involved cases in the following areas: warnings and labels, layout of controls
and displays, illumination and other environmental factors, training effectiveness, personnel
stress, construction equipment, gliders, amphibious aircraft, mechanical pencils, ski bindings,
over-the-counter drugs, electrical heat tape and other commercial products.
